Reminders

Troop meetings are held every Wednesday from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at Lord of Life Lutheran Church.  Parents are always welcome.

Court of Honor and Carry In Dinner
We will have our Summer Court of Honor on Saturday, August 30th at Keehner Park.  There is a sign up sheet at the Troop meetings.  The Troop will provide the main course, families will be asked to bring sides, salads and desserts.  This is a great opportunity to meet the other families and the evening ends with the Court of Honor where the boys receive the awards they have earned since February.

Adult Opportunities
We are in need of a couple of Troop Committee positions.  Any parent with the Troop may  volunteer.  We need an Outdoor Chair, an Assistant Advancement Chair and Webmaster.  If you would be interested in learning more about these positions and the time requirements, please contact Mr. Kieback.

Troop 947 will be hosting the Ft. Hamilton District Spring Camporee  April 24-26, 2009.  Preliminary planning has begun.  Our senior boys are laying the ground work and will be involving more boys as planning progresses.  This is a great opportunity for our boys to plan and execute a large event.  The last Camporee we hosted was attended by over 400 Scouts.  Please continue to watch our web-site for information as it becomes available.
