Campout Packing List

The following is the minimum equipment and supplies needed for all camping trips:

  1. Sleeping bag or bedroll and pillow.
  2. Container for water (canteen or insulated water jug).
  3. Extra socks. Also extra shoes if rainy weather is expected.
  4. Class A uniform (worn while traveling to and from camp)
  5. Class B uniform (worn while at camp)
  6. Poncho or raincoat
  7. Garbage bag for dirty laundry
  8. Bag to hold all gear (duffel bag or backpack)
  9. Flashlight and extra batteries
  10. Boy Scout Handbook
  11. Personal supplies (soap, towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, etc.)
  12. Money for food
  13. Permission slip, filled in and signed by parent
  14. Prescription medicines (if needed)

 


Summer Camp Packing List

Essential Items:

  • Complete class “A” scout uniform, including neckerchief
  • Hat
  • 6-7 changes of clothing with class “B” shirts, shorts, underwear and socks(extra socks are a good idea)
  • Towels (2) Beach towel and Bath Towel (do not send a nice towel)
  • Shower shoes
  • Swimming trunks
  • Sleeping bag or sheets and blanket
  • Poncho or raincoat – A MUST
  • Extra pair of shoes (for wet weather) – A MUST
  • Footlocker – Trunk
  • Soap, toothbrush, toothpaste and comb
  • Flashlight with extra batteries
  • Scout Handbook
  • Notepaper or notebook, pencil or pen
  • Watch
  • Sunscreen
  • Mosquito repellent – roll-on or cream only – no aerosol cans
  • Water bottle
  • Backpack/Cinch Sack for carrying merit badge and other supplies
  • Merit badge books and supplies
  • Completed merit badge pre-requisites
  • Completed blue cards for all merit badges to be handed in Sunday morning at Check-In

Optional Items:

  • Required medication  (All items in original bottles with clear, written instructions for over-the-counter medications)
  • Camera
  • Battery powered fan
  • Compass
  • Pocket knife with TOT’N’ CHIP card
  • Fishing pole and tackle (Do not bring live bait – camp will have available for purchase)
  • Hiking boots (if needed for specific merit badge requirements)
  • Money for the Trading Post ($20-$30 in small bills in an envelope with amount and name on it to be turned in at check-in )
  • Laundry bag
  • Cards and/or small games (that are not affected by humidity)

Prohibited Items:

  • Electronic devices (including radio, I-Pod, gaming devices, and cellphones)
  • Open-toe shoes (flip flops are acceptable in our campsite only)
  • Sheath knives
  • Firearms
  • Fireworks
  • Drugs, alcohol or tobacco products
